2. RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
Overview
At Modirong Solar we handle returns fairly and transparently in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
This policy applies to solar panels, inverters, batteries, solar geysers, lighting products and related electrical equipment.
14-Day Satisfaction Returns
Eligible standard products may be returned within 14 days of delivery if:
- The goods are unused
- In original packaging
- Complete with accessories and documentation
This applies only to standard non-custom products.
Return Eligibility
To qualify for a return:
- Product must be unused
- Product must not be physically damaged
- Original packaging must be intact
- Proof of purchase must be provided
Returns that do not meet these conditions may be declined.
Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are non-refundable:
- Delivery fees
- Transport costs
- Installation fees
- Call-out charges
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned unless defective:
- Custom designed solar systems
- Installed equipment
- Configured inverter systems
- Electrical components that have been connected or programmed
- Special order items
Installation & Electrical Work
Once a solar system, inverter, battery, geyser or electrical component has been installed and commissioned, it is regarded as accepted and cannot be returned as unwanted goods.
Packaging Responsibility
Customers must ensure returned goods are securely packaged to prevent transport damage.
Couriers may refuse collection if items are not safely packaged.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after returned goods are received and inspected.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Refund processing may take up to 14 working days.
Defective Goods (CPA Rights)
If goods are defective or unsafe, customers may return them within 6 months of delivery according to the Consumer Protection Act.
The company may:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Issue a refund
Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, lightning or tampering is excluded.
